S. Congress Statement of Purpose The Albanian Issues Caucus promotes six primary goals: (1) The peaceful evolution of democratic institutions in Albania, Kosova, FYR
Macedonia, and other areas in the Balkans with Albanian populations; (2) Alleviation of human suffering in Albania, Kosova, FYR Macedonia, and
other areas of the Balkans with ethnic Albanian populations; (3) Expansion of cultural exchange between Albania, Kosova, FYR Macedonia,
and other ethnic Albanian populated regions; (4) Respect for human rights, including the rights of minority groups in
Kosova, Albania, FYR Macedonia, and other ethnic Albanian populated regions;
(5) Establishment of free market economies throughout the Balkans; and (6) Promote contact between Albanian Americans and their ancestral homelands
in the Balkans, the U.S. government, and other ethnic communities. Albanian-Americans and others should feel free to contact any of the members
